Gift Supports Engineering, Accountancy, Education, More
UM civil engineering alumnus and Exxon Mobil heavy fuel oil commercial trader John Cleveland of Kingwood, Texas (center), visited with university representatives in the Lyceum recently to present a check for almost $70,000. The generous resources will help strengthen academic programs in the schools of Engineering, Accountancy and Education, Student Affairs and more. With Cleveland are (from left) Don Cole, assistant provost and associate professor of mathematics; David Rock, dean of the School of Education; Brandi Hephner LaBanc, vice chancellor for Students Affairs; Noel Wilkin, provost and executive vice chancellor; Mark Wilder, dean of the Patterson School of Accountancy; and Alex Cheng, dean of the School of Engineering.

The ExxonMobil Foundation is continuing its generous practice of matching Exxon Mobil Corp. employees’ gifts to the University of Mississippi. In one of the most liberal matching gifts programs, the ExxonMobil Foundation approves a 3-to-1 match for employees’ gifts.
