Stamps Scholars Celebrate Senior Year
The Stamps class of 2021 forged strong bonds of friendship, support and camaraderie. Left to right: Madeline Cook, Tyler Yarbrough, Eleanor Schmid, Chinwe Udemgba, JR Riojas, Victoria Gallegos, Kennedy Cohn, Robert Wasson, Harrison McKinnis (not pictured Matthew Travers).
When the Stamps Scholars formed this human train as freshmen, they had no idea how far it would take them. It all began with a summer trip to Ecuador in 2017.
Provost Noel Wilkin thanks our Stamps Scholars for their persistence and assured them that their Ole Miss Family is still here for them beyond graduation. “My door is always open for you today, this summer, and into your graduate school experiences and your careers. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing.”
Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College Dean Douglass Sullivan-Gonzalez bids his farewell and inspires the group to pursue their passions and to continue challenging themselves.
On behalf of the seniors, JR Riojas gave each of their mentors and UM administrators a sincere thank you and a rose “The Bachelor style” for all the support and effort shown on their behalf these four years.
The 2021 Stamps graduates were giddy with anticipation for everything that lies ahead, yet celebrating all of the life-changing experiences they were able to have during their time at UM and through engaged learning opportunities afforded by their Stamps scholarship.

Provost Wilkin chats with Tyler Yarbrough from Clarksdale, MS about the business venture he has established and his summer research plans.
