Grove Scholars prepares talented Mississippi students – whose greatest barrier to college success is financial need – to earn degrees in high-demand fields through a comprehensive model of academic, financial and personal support. Scholars begin with a fully funded, four-week residential Summer Bridge program, earning six college credits before their first semester. Throughout college, they receive coaching, tutoring, book scholarships, on-campus jobs and support for internships and research, along with personal finance education, professional networking and graduate school preparation.
For more than 10 years, Grove Scholars has produced measurable results: 85 percent of scholars have graduated or are persisting toward graduation, and all are enrolled in STEM, healthcare or accountancy. With more than 120 scholars currently on campus and a program that continues to grow each year, Grove Scholars shows that when talented students earn degrees leading to high-mobility careers, they create opportunity for themselves, their families and the state of Mississippi.
