Robert C. Khayat Law Center Offers Elegant Venue for Donor Reception
Donors who have provided private support to the University of Mississippi, University of Mississippi Medical Center and Ole Miss Athletics were celebrated at an Oct. 27 reception at the Robert C. Khayat Law Center on the Oxford campus. Among hundreds of attendees were (top row, from left) Lisa Paris of Jackson, Mississippi; Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter, Lanny and Susan Griffith of Alexandria, Virginia; Dr. George Russell, chair of the UMMC Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation; Dr. LouAnn Woodward, vice chancellor for health affairs, Stephanie Russell of Ridgeland, Mississippi; and (bottom row, left to right) Matt Lusco of Birmingham, Alabama; Keith Carter, executive director of the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation; Bob Seibels of Birmingham; Sheila and U.S. Rep. Trent Kelly of Saltillo, Mississippi; Shawn and David Brevard of Tupelo, Mississippi; and Retired Major Gen. Leon Collins of Madison, Mississippi.

With generous private support and a strong market, FY 2017 saw the University of Mississippi’s endowment climb to approximately $675 million — an increase of 12 percent. The stellar year of philanthropy is reflected in private gifts from more than 25,000 donors that total $153.6 million, marking the sixth consecutive year donors gave in excess of $100 million.

The University of Mississippi Foundation expresses sincerest gratitude to our generous alumni and friends. In an era when state funding comprises approximately 13.2% of the university budget, your support matters. Thank you for helping Ole Miss continue to be one of the nation’s greatest public institutions of higher learning.
