Privacy Policy

The UM Foundation and the UM Alumni Association, because of their common mission of raising support for UM, maintain a joint database of alumni and donor records to maximize efficiency and provide service to our donors. This database is private and access is strictly controlled to development and administrative staff of these institutions only.

Information Collection

The UM Foundation collects information from public sources, postal records and gift processing to continuously update and manage our shared database. Information provided by donors to UM, the UM Foundation and the the UM Alumni Association is also available to us in the database.

Information Sharing

The UM Foundation shares information, through its database, with the University of Mississippi, the UM Alumni Association and the UMAA Foundation only.

The UM Foundation will not sell or share information to an entity unaffiliated with UM for the purposes of commercial or political solicitation under any circumstance.

The UM Foundation respects requests for anonymity, and will not publicize donors or contributions that wish to remain anonymous.

Names and addresses of scholarship or professorship donors are provided, upon request, to student and faculty recipients who wish to thank these donors for their support.

The UM Foundation goes to great lengths to ensure the security of our records from unauthorized access. The UM Foundation uses the latest technologies in record-keeping security to ensure the privacy of your information.
